Beryllium Giclee Print - Periodic Table of the Elements

from £16.00
The Elements - Beryllium

Drawing taken from a self initiated project of the illustrator and designer James Nicholls, designed to show the scientific and everyday uses* of all 118 elements in the periodic table as an educational and entertaining piece of wall art, in a more engaging way than a standard periodic table. Every element has been hand drawn by the artist over the course of 3 years. Each drawing shows the atomic number, the symbol, and with the use of colour the group that the element falls into.

This print shows Beryllium. Beryllium is a chemical element with symbol Be and atomic number 4. It is a relatively rare element in the universe, usually occurring as a product of the spallation of larger atomic nuclei that have collided with cosmic rays. Within the cores of stars beryllium is depleted as it is fused and creates larger elements. Copper beryllium wire is used for the flexible leads of pacemakers to provide a long, fatigue-resistant life for those devices.
