Giant Iguana (2021)

Just got back from two weeks in Mexico, and for the first time in a long time I brought pens and a sketch book so I could do some drawing whilst I was there. Rather predictably, I did none. The sketchbook remained unopened and barely even made it out of my bag to be honest… I do have a few ideas though, so if I have a sudden random influx of Mexican inspired drawings in 6 months or so that why.

So here’s a drawing of an iguana I drew a few years ago - the connection is that there were loads of iguanas wandering around the resort - as well as coatis, agoutis, bats, woodpeckers and monkeys but I don’t have any old drawings of those. I can’t remember why I drew this picture, it doesn’t fit in to any of my old projects, so maybe it was premonition that I would soon see lots of them? This is a giant iguana though, I don’t know if they are different or if that’s just a bigger iguana… I’m too tired, recovering from jet lag/food poisoning/loosing my voice to do anymore research
